Late Shops

While some Belarusians like to party through the night, most are safely tucked up in bed. As such there’s not a lot of choice if you need to buy something after midnight. But between them the places listed below should have what you're looking for.

If you are looking for cigarettes then any late bar or café will have an extensive selection and old ladies can often be found near the entrance to metro stations selling them illegally.

Alternatively there’s a bit of a smokers union in Minsk and most passers-by puffing away will give you a cigarette if you ask or gesture. Bear this mind if a local is asking you for one.

Minsk Railway Station
Trains come and go throughout the night so there are always kiosks open here including a 24 hour pharmacy.

Korona hypermarket (Корона)
Kalvariyskaya 24 (Кальвариская 24)
Open 24 hours, daily
Minsk is slowly becoming a modern European city and it now boasts a handful of hypermarkets, with more due to open in the next year or so. None of them are particularly convenient if you don’t have your own transport but Korona is closest to the city centre, about 10 minutes walk from Frunzenskaya or Molodezhnaya metro stations. On a map it’s between the two where the main road crosses the railway line. The austere looking building just across the railway tracks is a local prison.

Million Alix Ros (Миллион алых роз)
Nemiga 2 (Немига 2)
Open 24 hours, daily.
Now matter what time of day or night you feel the urge to say it with flowers, this florist will be waiting to sell them to you.
